Cast Theatrical Company has lost a dear friend and supporter of our
theater. Mr. Bob Vogelsang has sadly passed away this past week. Bob was a
stalwart supporter of live theatrical productions in Rosenberg, TX and
hosted our theater in his historic building since 1989. He and his lovely
wife Marcia, and son James were frequent attendees of our productions, and
we will miss his laughter, especially during our whacky melodramas as he
happily threw handfuls of popcorn at the villain, or any other character he
Bob was greatly respected in the Rosenberg community and it is possible that
Cast Theatrical Company would not be the longest running, continuously
operating community theater in Ft. Bend County had it not been for his
commitment to bringing live theater to Rosenberg. Bob helped see this
theater through tragedies of hurricanes and fires, and after each he saw to
it the theater was brought back to life with better facilities. He will be
missed and all of us here at Cast Theater will miss him, and we will carry
on in his honor as his wife of 56 years has asked of us.
An actor's toast to an honorable and beloved man, Mr. Bob Vogelsang.
